Virginia Agricultural Best Management Practice Program (BMP)

The most common conservation practices are permanent vegetative cover on cropland, alternative water systems, permanent vegetative cover on critical areas and heavy traffic animal travel lane stabilization.   This program offers 75% cost share and 25% tax credit.  For more information and to view photos of other conservation practices visit the Department of Conservation and Recreation website.
